1953 Reunion
Keith Cox and wife at the Alumni Center

Remember when. . .

  • We attended the biggest bonfire with the largest crowd ever attended the UT bonfire on the night of November 26

  • Ray Anthony and his "best dressed band in the land" played in Gregory Gym

  • Male students outnumbered female students more than two to one

  • Workmen began tearing down old B. Hall

  • 14,068 students stood in long lines to register in non-air conditioned Gregory gym

  • Everyone was singing "Don't Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes," "I've Got the World on a String," That's Amore," or Vaya con Dios"

  • Bermuda shorts were the latest in fashion

  • The optional Blanket Tax (student fee) was $16.50, which allowed admission to athletic events and Civic Music concerts

The year was 1952-1953---your senior year.

Come back to campus to see what's the same and what has changed.
Some very special events and tours are being planned.
Don't miss this chance of a lifetime.
