Overview

Your very first step to apply for scholarships and financial aid is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All need-based financial aid is awarded based on your FAFSA information. Aid can come in many forms including grants, scholarships, work-study opportunities and loans.

The university has an application to fill out that makes you eligible for all scholarships offered by UT. Scholarship committees consider various factors to determine which scholarships to award to each individual.

Once you have completed your freshmen year, you are able to apply to scholarships offered by the business school. Like the university, the business school scholarships also have one application to fill out to make you eligible for all scholarships offered and awards are determined by a selection committee.

THOMAS H. AND JOAN P. DAVENPORT ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP IN MANAGEMENT SCIENCE AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS	Undergraduate business students with a concentration in Management Science and Information Systems.
TRUETT AIRHART ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Scholarship to upper division student pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems, in preparation for career in MIS. Scholarship to be awarded on the basis of financial need, academic achievement and future career potential. Special consideration may be given to student members of the Management Information Systems Association (MISA). (Renewal Permitted)
VESTAL LEMMON ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Recipients to be undergraduate insurance majors or MBA students concentrating in insurance.
WILBERT W. KRAUSE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Students must be enrolled full-time as an MIS major (last semester full-time exception); must demonstrate unmet financial need, specifically someone who would likely have to seek employment during academic studies in order to finance their education; interest in pursuing a career in Texas, with preference to be given to student from the Austin area; student must have satisfactory academic record; (Renewal Permitted)
WILLIAM H. CUNNINGHAM STUDENT ENDOWMENT	Undergraduate and Graduate Students.
CENTURY CLUB ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Must have demonstrated academic achievement with a min 3.0 GPA and must demonstrate potential for future scholarly achievement; Upper division undergraduate students majoring in any business specialty and enrolled with at least 12 semester hours in CBA.  Scholarships are awarded on basis of financial need and academic achievement. (Renewal Permitted)
CHRISTOPHER S. BEACH ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Any academic major enrolled in the School of Business. Recipients must be enrolled full time, unless in their final semester and less than full time load is required to graduate. Recipients will be selected primarily on academic merit. Financial need may also be considered in selecting recipients of this scholarship. At the discretion of the committee, recipients with great financial need may be ranked over those with better academic credentials.  (Renewal Permitted)
DAMON P. SMITH III ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Any academic major enrolled in the Red McCombs School of Business. Financial need shall be considered in selecting recipients of this scholarship. At the discretion of the committee, recipients with great financial need may be ranked above other recipients with somewhat better academic credentials. In recognition of the Smith Family heritage in the cattle business, special consideration will also be given to candidates from a rural or agrarian background. (Renewal Permitted)
NICK FINNEGAN MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Any academic major enrolled in McCombs School of Business. 1st preference is for MSB students from Texas. Recipients must be enrolled full time in MSB (final semester exception allowed); selected on academic merit; financial need may be considered and at discretion of dean recipients w/financial need may be ranked above other recipients with better academic credentials; (Renewal Permitted)
FRANK M. HOLLOWAY ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Upper division Undergraduate student with academic achievement and financial need.
IRENE HOKE SANDAHL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FOR PHYSICALLY DISABLED STUDENTS	Graduate or Undergraduate student in business school; physically disabled; Texas resident; financial need; must be registered for a minimum of 6 hours persemester for fall and spring semester. (Renewal Permitted)
SUE SURBEY SHOEMAKE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	To provide scholarship support for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students of any academic major enrolled full time in the McCombs School, unless less than a full course load is needed for graduation. Selection shall be primarily on academic merit, though financial need may be considered. At the discretion of the scholarship committee, financial need may outweigh applicants with higher academic merit. (Renewal Permitted)
1986-87 CBA/ALLEN H. BIZZELL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Scholarship support for full-time undergraduate students in the McCombs School of Business. Need of financial assistance may be considered. (Renewal Permitted)
A.T. (TED) TEN BROEKE MEMORIAL ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Undergraduate student; satisfactory academic record; financial need; preference given to married student.
ANDERSEN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	To support undergraduate students with preference to Finance, Accounting, Management Sciences Information Systems and Business Honors majors.  Recipients who are current students must have a minimun of 3.0 GPA.  (Renewal Permitted)
ANNIE WHITTENBURG WALKER MEMORIAL ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	At least a 3.6 GPA; preference given to a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity; must have completed at least 45 hours at UT-Asutin; may not have a bachelor's degree already from UT-Austin or anywhere else; student may not graduate before May of the year of the scholarship; must be full-time; leadership potential; extracurricular activities; financial need.
ASIAN BUSINESS STUDENTS ASSOCIATION ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Have completed 15 hours at UT; active members of ABSA; full-time students, good academic standing, participated in extracurricular activities; financial need.
AUBREY C. BLACK ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP IN BUSINESS	Undergraduate students who have taken all of their elementary and secondary education in the state of Texas.  Recipients should be considered on the basis of merit and personal effort, work and accomplishment, and then on the basis of financial need.
BAKER AND PENNY MCADAMS ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Students of Accounting, Information Systems, or Finance; academic achievement-GPA 3.75, financial need. (Renewal Permitted)
BENJAMIN K. LEWIS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP IN BUSINESS	Full-time undergraduate student.
BOB AND LUPE EGENOLF ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Full-time students enrolled in the Honors Program; preference given to Freshman; demonstrated academic achievement; financial need. (Renewal Permitted)
BUSTER AND ADA MAE BAEBEL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Recipients will be selected primarily on academic merit; however, financial need may be considered and ranked higher than somewhat better academic credentials as determined by the committee. Preference for participation in intramural sports. (Renewal Permitted)
CARLENE KOUBA BEHRENS MEMORIAL ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Undergraduate students who have a minimum GPA of 3.0.  Financial need may be considered and preference will be given to students studying Accounting.  (Renewal Permitted)
CLYDE COPUS AND NASH PHILLIPS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Undergraduates, with a preference given to students studying real estate.  Recipients will be selected primarily on academic merit and must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.  Financial need may also be considered, and at the discretion of the committee, recipients with great finnacial need may be ranked above other recipients with somewhat better academic credentials.
CONOCOPHILLIPS SCHOLARSHIP	Scholarships awarded to deserving Business Admin students. Recipients must be full-time undergraduate students who are US citizens and not on a leave-of-absence or committed, in any way, to a competing company
CURRY END SCHOL FUND	Undergraduate students of any major enrolled or planning to enroll in MSB.
DAN AND PEGGY PITTS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Preference is for recipients to be selected on academic merit with the hope that this scholarship will be made to students who do not qualify for financial-aid based awards. (Renewal Permitted)
DAVID GLASSON HEWLETT SCHOLARSHIP IN BUSINESS	Senior business student to complete the final year.
DAVID L. OLM CENTENNIAL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP	To be awarded on a college-wide basis to an undergraduate, upper-division student; must be a US citizen and Texas resident. Preferred recipient will be student who is not necessarily distinguished academically but who may be disadvantaged economically, physically or socially, with additional preference to be given to students from non-urban areas of Texas. DOROTHY AYRES ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Full-time undergraduate student in MSOB.  (Renewal Permitted)
DOUGLAS A. PARKER MEMORIAL ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	US citizen or Permanent Resident.  Scholastic merit/financial need.  At least 45 hours of college coursework/Upper Division Student; Minimum 3.75 GPA.
DR. PETER T. FLAWN ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS	Awarded to junior, senior or graduate students in CBA pursuing BBA or MBA. Preference to be given to students majoring in field of finance. Preference for selection to be given to those students who are graduates of Travis County high schools. Emphasis in selection based on academic achievement with need as secondary consideration.
E. N. (ERNIE) HENSEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Financial need; academic achievement; future potential; Transportation concentration preferred.
EDITH FREED SPIVAK MEMORIAL ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Selected primarily on academic merit . Preference to be given to applicants majoring in Accounting. Financial need may also be considered in selecting recipients. Recipients with significant financial need may be ranked above other recipients with somewhat better academic credentials. ELIZABETH LANHAM ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND	Full-time undergraduate; 45 Hours; Minimum 3.75 GPA;  Preference given to Management majors.
FORREST C. LATTNER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND	Any business student; financial need not to exceed cost of education as set by Financial Aid; 2.75 GPA.  (Renewal Permitted)

GEORGE M. KOZMETSKY MEMORIAL ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS	Undergraduate student; priority to those who have minimum range GPA, and having learning disabilities, and are socially or economically handicapped.  High scholastic achievement shall NOT be a determining factor.  US citizen or permanent resident; sophomore. GEORGE W. MOORE JR. ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP IN BUSINESS	To award scholarships to undergraduate students of any academic major with demonstrated financial need enrolled in the McCombs School of Business.
GERALD AND LINDA RIDGELY ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Must maintain a 3.75 GPA recognized the the Red McCombs School of Business for EPS scholarships.  Must exemplify student leadership on campus; need of financial assistance may be considered.  (Renewal Permitted)
H. E. B. GROCERY COMPANY ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP IN FOOD DISTRIBUTION	Sophmore level or above, any UT major; 45 Hours; 3.75 Minimum UT GPA.  First preference to students who wish to pursue career in the retail food industry.
H. E. B. GROCERY COMPANY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP IN FOOD DISTRIBUTION	Sophomore level or above.  First preference given to students who wish to pursue career in the retail food industry.
H. E. B. GROCERY COMPANY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS IN FOOD DISTRIBUTION (7)	Sophomore level or above.  First preference given to students who wish to pursue career in the retail food industry.
ROBERT S. HARVILL, JR.  ENDOWED  SCHOLARSHIP	1st preference to go to undergraduate students from Montgomery County, TX - if no students from this county are found, scholarship may be awarded to students in the Dept of Finance; preference to be given to undergraduate students on the Real Estate track, and if this course is no longer offered at MSB the scholarship may be awarded to students in the Dept of Finance; financial need may be considered. HERBERT AND JOHANNA LIEBSCHER FOUNDATION ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND	Recipients must be from Comal County; first preference will be given to students who are delcared Finance or Accounting majors in the Red McCombs School of Business and second preference to any Red McCombs School of Business major.  Recipients will be slected primarly on academic merit.  Undergraduate and MBA students must demonstrate academic achievement by maintaining a minimum grade point average of 3.0.  Incoming freshmen may also be considered for this scholarship provided  they have demonstrated academic achievement and leadership in high school.  Financial need will also be considered in selecting recipients of this scholarship.  Recipients with great financial need may be ranked above other recipients with somewhat better academic credentials.  (Renewal Permitted)
HERBERT F. POYNER, JR. ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP IN BUSINESS	When possible, preference should be given to students concentrating their studies in areas of investments and investment analysis; must maintain the grade point average recognized by the Red McCombs School of Business for EPS 3.75; need of financial assistance may be considered (Renewal Permitted)
HILL ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	To provide scholarship support for undergrad students of any academic major enrolled at McCombs. Preference is for recipients to be selected on academic merit with the hope that it will be made to students who do not qualify for financial-aid based awards. 45 Hours and 3.75 Minimum UT GPA (Renewal Permitted)
HISPANIC BUSINESS STUDENT ASSOCIATION ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Jr. or Sr. Full-time student, financial need, academic standing, extra-curricular activities.  Proposed recipient requires approval of Hispanic Business Student Organization.  Recipient must be an active member of HBSA.
HUGH LIEDTKE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP IN BUSINESS	Average academic merit; promise of success in their field; demonstrated evidence of financial need.  Full-time undergraduate student.
JAMES EDWARD LEE KING MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Financial need; specifically, students who would otherwise have to work a part-time or full-time job (while taking classes) to put themselves through school.  Preference shall be given to students from economically underprivileged areas in the city of Houston.  Additional consideration will be given to first generation college students.  The students shall have a satisfactory academic record.
JAMES SCRANTON PEEVEY, CLU ENDOWED MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Full-time undergraduate students studying Risk Management in the Dept of MSIS. Current students must have a minimum 3.0 gpa.  (Renewal Permitted)
JAMES W. WINKEL MEMORIAL ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Must attain at least 12 semester hours at UT during the semester nominated for the scholarship and during the two semesters the student holds the scholarship; applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5.  Students from Llano High School, Texas, shall receive sole consideration; independent scholastic activities, extracurriculat activities, and leadership are valued.  Financial need must be a factor in evaluating otherwise equal qualifications.  (Renewal Permitted)
JANE HARRELL AND CHARLES CURRY PIERCE, JR. ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP IN BUSINESS	Undergraduate students.  EPS required GPA 3.75  Financial needs are considered.  (Renewal permitted)

RUNGE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	To support students in the McCombs School of Business who have completed at least 30 hours of college level course work and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.  Preference will be given to a student who has exhibited college work experience, participated in extracurricular activities, and is a member of a fraternity or sorority. The award can be granted for up to 2 years or 4 semesters.
JOHN W. BARNHILL, III ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION	Undergraduate student with outstanding merit; 45 Hours; 3.75 GPA.
JOHN WITHERSPOON SLAUGHTER ENDOWED MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Undergraduate business student; academic merit; financial need. US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
JON AND REBECCA BRUMLEY ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Undergraduate students.  Enrolled full-time in the McCombs School of Business.  If the final semeter prior to graduation, a less than full-time course load is allowed.  EPS required GPA.  Financial needs are considered.  Renewal permitted.
JOSEPH H. CULVER ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Undergraduate student; preference given to students pursuing a major in human resources; 45 hours; 3.75 GPA minimum.
KARL AND HELEN MCGINNIS ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Jr. or Sr. full-time student who is in good standing and who is partially self-sustaining; GPA 3.75.
KARL AND HELEN MCGINNIS SCHOLARSHIP	Scholarship to be awarded to junior or senior level student in Business who needs financial assistance and who intends upon graduation to enter law school. Junior or Senior class students in good standing, and who are partially self-sustaining.
LINDA AND ANDY KERNER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	To be selected primarily on academic merit; financial need may be considered and at Dean's discretion need may be ranked above other recipients with better academic credentials.  (Renewal Permitted)

LEO G. BLACKSTOCK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP	For business students going into law school. Selection based on financial need, contingent upon appropriate academic scholarship.
LUCY ELLA STEAD MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Any academic major enrolled in the McCombs School.  Recipients should be chosen primarily on basis of financial need. Applicants with greater financial need should be ranked above those with higher academic ability. (Renewal Permitted)
MAKE A MARK ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Full-time students in the Business Honors Program.  Must maintain 3.75 GPA recognized by McCombs School for EPS; financial need may be considered  (Renewal Permitted)
MARCUS LEON STRUM CENTENNIAL SCHOLARSHIP	For upper division undergraduate students aspiring to careers in business. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of need and merit.
MARY ANN DINGMAN MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Recipients will be selected primarily on academic merit.  Financial need may also be  considered in selecting recipients of this scholarship.  At the discretion of the committee, recipients with great financial need may be ranked above other recipients with somewhat better academic credentials.  Students may be of any classification in Business (BBA, MBA and PhD students) and within any area of study.  (Renewal Permitted)
THOMAS C. MAYS III ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	To be selected on academic merit; financial need may also be considered and at discretion of Dean financial need may be ranked above other recipients with better academic credentials. (Renewal Permitted)

NATHALIE GOODWIN MEMORIAL ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Full-time undergraduate students in Business, with preference given to students with demonstrated financial need and to female students when the female undergraduate enrollment in the Business School is less than 50% of the total school enrollment.  45 Hours; 3.75 Minimum GPA (Renewal Permitted)
NATIONAL STUDENT BUSINESS LEAGUE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Recipient should be full-time student (12 semester course load) and active member of NSBL; academic merit at least 2.7 GPA;  extracurricular activities; financial need.
O. V. BENNETT, JR. ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP IN BUSINESS	Full-time undergraduate students; 45 Hours; 3.75 Minimum UT GPA.
MATTHEW OLIM ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Selection to be based primarily on academic merit, though financial need may be considered. At the discretion of the scholarship committee, financial need may outweigh applicants with higher academic merit. (Renewal Permitted)

RAE R. AND MARGARET S. BURTON ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP IN BUSINESS	Full-time student; preference given to students from Bexar Co. pursuing Engineering Route to Business major. (Renewal permitted)
RICHARD E. ROLLE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Undergraduate business students in the McCombs School.  A minimum GPA of 3.0. (Renewal Permitted)
RICHARD WARREN MITHOFF ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION	Full-time student; preference given to disabled/handicapped (including educationally, economically, or socially disadvantaged student).
ROBERT A. AND DONNA CHERECK ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Full-time undergraduate students who graduated from a high school in the State of Texas, and have maintained the grade point average (3.75) recognized by the McCombs School of Business for EPS.  Financial need may be considered.
ROBERT AND DIANA AYERS ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Deserving undergraduate students of any academic major in the McCombs School in accordance with the EPS criteria; 45 hours; 3.75 GPA.
ROBERT AND KRISTIN GAUNTT ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Students will be selected primarily on academic merit. Financial need may also be considered. At the discretion of the committee, recipients with great financial need may be ranked above others with somewhat better academic credentials. (Renewal Permitted)
ROBERT L. RIVIERE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Deserving student, full-time business student.
MARK & CHRYSTINE ROBERTS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Selection shall be based on full-time enrollment; academic merit, and financial need. At the discretion of the committee, recipients with great financial need may be ranked above other recipients with somewhat better credentials. (Renewal Permitted)
ROSE/SILVER-THORNE ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Full-time student (awarded to single student freshman to senior).  For duration of his/her college years leading to undergraduate degree; should be of good character and academic standing, awarded on basis of need; well rounded; have been active in high school; financially unable to attend college without the benefit of scholarships.
ROSS W. VICK, JR. ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP	Undergraduate students whose course of study is concentrated in enterpreneurship, in accordance with University and College provisions for Endowed Presidential Scholarships; 45 hours; 3.75 GPA.
SAMUEL ADAM PRINZ MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Full-time undergraduate students pursuing a business degree from the McCombs School of Business.
SAMUEL GEORGE COOK MEMORIAL ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Income to be used to fund annually-awarded scholarships for students who will be enrolled in CBA as freshmen. Selection to be made by a committee of faculty appointed by the Dean of the CBA based on: 1) Recipient must be a full-time student (12 or more semester hrs), enrolled as a Freshman (incoming/continuing) w/major in Business Administration. THE 1984-85 CBA STUDENTS' ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	This scholarship shall be awarded on the basis of financial need, academic achievement and future potential. (Renewal Permitted)

THE DOW CHEMICAL COMPANY - UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS ALUMNI ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, ENGINEERING AND NATURAL SCIENCES	Student who is a Child/grandchild of Dow employee/retiree; high SAT/ACT score; 2.75 GPA in college (Renewal Permitted)
TOM W. WHITE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Upper-division undergraduate students enrolled full-time; Texas resident; financial need; academic achievement; future potential. (Renewal Permitted)
W. O. ROBERSON ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Annual scholarship for full-time undergraduate of junior or senior standing in the College of Business Administration. (Renewal permitted up to 2 years) Scholarship shall be awarded based on academic need, financial merit, and future potential. Priority given to student from City of Brownsville/Cameron county with major in finance.				2 years
VIRGINIA MALONEY WALKER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	To fund scholarships for full time undergradate students majoring in Marketing. Academic merit and financial need may be considered and at discretion of committee candidates with great financial need may be ranked above others with somewhat better academic credentials (Renewal Permitted)
WILLIE AND MAURINE KOCUREK ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP	Full-time undergraduate student. Minimum GPA 3.0. Preference given to Freshmen students.
ZANDAN FAMILY ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Full time undergraduate students; Minimum 3.75 GPA recognized by the school for Endowed Presidential Scholarships; Financial need may be considered; Preference is given to students who has overcome a significant life challenge. (Renewal Permitted)
RICHARD AND ELIZABETH CAUSEY ENDOWED PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP	Full time undergraduate students. Minimum 3.75 GPA. Selection will be made based on academic merit, who demonstrate involvement or leadership in campus activities, with preference to students in the accounting or PPA program.
