EPS Format Logos with TM
EPS files are used by professional printers on brochures and promotional items, such as t-shirts and pens. They can be opened in Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop. The .pdf files may be opened in Adobe Reader or Adobe Illustrator. See the logo file nomenclature for file format abbreviations.
The University of Texas Office of Trademark and Licensing requires the trademark symbol (TM) on all university and McCombs logos when used on promotional products such as t-shirts and pens. The names "McCombs," "McCombs School of Business" and "The University of Texas at Austin" also requires the trademark symbol when used on promotional items. The name "Texas" requires a registered mark (R). Generally, Pantone (PMS) color format (vs. 4 Color Process) is used on promotional items. Please check with your vendor to verify the format they require. Promotional items with stitching require specific thread colors.
Printed publications may use either the 4Color Process or Pantone (PMS) color modes. Publications that will be distributed externally use the logo with a TM the first time the logo appears. Thereafter, the logo may be used without the TM.
No distortions or modifications of the logo or logotype are permitted. The logo may not be used as a "design" element with other text or graphics.
