Job Boards
If you have positions that do not align with our
on-campus recruiting requirements, you may wish to utilize one or
both of the Job Boards viewed by McCombs students and alumni.
The
McCombs Job Board is a free online job board which compliments
our On-Campus Recruiting program by allowing the following features:
- Companies can recruit both current students and alumni (on-campus recruiting is targeted at current students).
- Companies can recruit candidates for a
wider variety of roles with respect to compensation structure than they
can with on-campus recruiting.
- The McCombs Job Board allows employers to recruit students for roles that are salaried, commission-based or unpaid.
- The McCombs Job Board allows employers access to McCombs alumni for full-time or part-time roles.
- Companies can recruit throughout the calendar year with this tool (recruiting is not tied to semester based timeframes).
In the McCombs Job Board, job postings are entered and managed
independently by companies and may be directed at students and alumni with
specific McCombs degrees (i.e., MBA, BBA). Third party recruiters
and hiring firms should not use the McCombs Job Board.
AccessUT (see
below) is an alternative to consider in these cases.
AccessUT is a free online job posting system, and postings are viewable
by the entire University of Texas at Austin student and alumni
community. Job postings are entered and managed independently by
companies, and may be directed at students and alumni with specific
degrees (i.e. MBA, MPA, BBA).
An overview framework which further highlights the differences between
these two job boards (and between the job boards and on-campus recruiting)
can be found in the following
document
