Internal Audit Manager, Halliburton Company
Contribution: Works with the MPA Career Services Office to increase
awareness of industry career options.
Why she does it: “I believe that students graduating from UT’s MPA
program have a world of opportunity ahead of them. The education and
training received at UT can open many doors it is my hope that I can
provide students with as much information as possible to help them
select from these opportunities. An energy industry career choice such
as Halliburton provides tremendous challenge, flexibility and ability to
impact change early on. You not only review complex accounting issues,
you drive changes in the way your company and industry interpret and
apply the rules. My awareness of these opportunities was limited while
still in school, so today, as a corporate representative, I try to share
this information.
I enjoy meeting with students and sharing my insights with them as I
hope they can gain from my experiences. I also like having the
opportunity to visit with past professors and share with them what I
have experienced in my own career. ”
