Shuping Chen received her Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 2003. Prior to joining the accounting faculty at UT, she was on the accounting faculty at the University of Washington, where she taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and received multiple teaching awards. Her research interests include corporate voluntary disclosure practices and expectations management, earnings management and earnings quality, financial intermediaries and their roles in the capital market, and the impact of ownership structure on firms' financial reporting choices.
