John McInnis received his BBA and MPA from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002. He received his PhD from the University of Iowa in 2008. His research examines the long-run implications, and potential deterrence, of earnings management. He also investigates the relationship between accounting information and firm risk. Professor McInnis teaches financial accounting in the MPA program.
