Advanced Studies in International Finance
Admission Requirements and Procedures
Most qualified
students will be admitted,
although the total enrollment
may be influenced by the
enrollment in our partner
business schools.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must meet
the following criteria:
- Applicants must meet the specific enrollment and academic qualifications as set forth in the syllabi of their respective partner schools.
- Applicants should have a career interest that includes some aspects of international finance.
- Applicants must be able to manage the time commitment. This is a regular course and will require as much work as other classes in the students’ course of study. While much work will be done electronically, students must be willing to schedule meetings and treat the work involved in this course a priority.
Application Process
Students desiring admission to
Advanced Studies must submit a
current resume and a statement,
generally one-page in length,
containing the following
elements. This statement is an
important document as it will
be posted on the ASIF
BlackBoard site and used to
introduce the students to each
other and form the research
groups.
- A brief biography
- Your major, and courses and grades earned in finance and economic courses that you’ve taken thus far.
- A statement of your career interests. This is important information that will be used by the class participants to identify other students with like interests.
- A description of any international experiences such as travel/study abroad/working abroad/foreign language skills, etc.
- A listing of international finance topics they are interested in researching. This should be related to either your career or personal interests.
These documents should be sent
via email to
the appropriate supervising professor at your university.
Students will be notified
within two days of application
concerning whether they have
been admitted.
Students do not have to preregister for this course. They can apply at the beginning of the semester.
