Among the majors that the McCombs School offers, MIS has the highest job placement rate and one of the highest average starting salaries. The average starting salary was $48,500 for Spring 2004 graduates who accepted full-time positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Dell, Procter & Gamble, Sungard Enform, Quorum Business Solutions, Hitachi Consulting, Shell Oil, Ernst & Young, Deloitte, Cerner Corporation, KPMG, Microsoft and other firms.

Most MIS graduates accept offers in Houston, Dallas or Austin. However, Spring 2005 graduates also accepted positions in Kansas City, Cincinnati, OH. and Redmond, WA.

The Ford Career Center, located in CBA 2.116, helps students and graduates find internships and full-time positions across the United States as well as providing contact with domestic recruiters for companies around the world.
