The Department of Marketing

The Department of Marketing administers the marketing doctoral program. Dedication to teaching and research excellence has propelled the department and the Graduate School of Business into the forefront of business education and research internationally. This dedication is echoed throughout The University of Texas at Austin.

The principal strengths of the department are its variety and depth of intellectual interests and scholarship, programmatic research focus, support staff and facilities, close ties to government and industry, and its location in one of the most rapidly developing cities and regions of the United States. These strengths have attracted numerous high-tech corporations and reflect the academic prominence of The University of Texas at Austin as well as the business opportunity that Austin and Texas exemplify. Collectively, these strengths place the Department of Marketing among a handful of unique institutions worldwide for pursuing doctoral education in its fullest sense: in the classroom, in the research environment, and in the world of business and public policy.
