After a year-long process involving school-wide feedback, peer reviews of all McCombs programs and disciplines, and the convening of a strategic planning committee within the school, Dean George Gau has unveiled his strategic plan for 2003-2010. The plan establishes the roadmap that McCombs will follow to become the leading public business school in the nation by 2010.

Cockrell, Jastrow, Tate Enter McCombs Hall of Fame
On Friday, November 14, the school inducted its latest members of the McCombs Hall of Fame: Ernest H. Cockrell, chairman of Cockrell Interests Inc.; Kenneth M. Jastrow, II, chairman and CEO of Temple-Inland Inc.; and Charles W. Tate, chairman and founder of Capital Royalty LLC.

McCombs School Commemorates Deloitte Endowments
Partners from Deloitte joined the McCombs Department of Accounting on Monday, November 17, to unveil plaques commemorating the firm’s generous investments in accounting education at UT Austin. Through a $1 million gift, enhanced by a $1 million match from the McCombs Matching Gift Program, Deloitte will create a “Super Chair” to assure the continued presence of outstanding faculty at McCombs.
