Texas Executive MBA Class of 2008
Returns from Seminar in Beijing, China
The Texas Executive MBA Class of 2008 recently returned from their International Executive Seminar in Beijing, China. The seminar was designed for the students with three goals in mind: To develop an appreciation for the range of economic, political, social and demographic factors that impact business and doing business in China; to provide exposure to companies doing business in China and learn how their leaders see the challenges ahead; and to provide exposure to Chinese history and culture through visits to sites of historical significance, such as the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Drum Tower, Great Wall and Tiananmen Square. On Monday, the day the earthquake hit parts of China, the EMBA students were at the Great Wall, but the students did not feel anything.
