MMA Network Alumni Advisory Board Meets
The Alumni Advisory Board meeting on Friday, October 24 proved to be an
engaging and productive day. The agenda included task force updates, interaction
with current students and staff during various breakout sessions, guest
appearances from John Doggett and Dean George Gau, and a discussion about strengthening
our alumni career networking. The meeting was a time for the board to discuss
the cultivation of our alumni network and various strategic initiatives of the
McCombs School. It is the goal and role of the Alumni Board to foster a network
and community that serves alumni, students, faculty and the school as a whole.

Students, Faculty and Alums Hit Feverish Pitch During Plus
Pitch Party
In an effort to create pillar community events, the 2nd Annual McCombs Plus
Pitch Party was held on Friday, October 24. This interactive, networking party
with an entrepreneurial twist was sponsored by
Austin Power and the MMA Network.
Attendees included the alumni board members, local Austin alumni, current
students, faculty and staff. The event was a huge success and we would like
to thank all the alumni who turned out to invest in the future of McCombs.

Alumni Admission Interviews Begin This Month
This fall marks the beginning of "invitation-only" interviews within the
MBA admission process. Prospective candidates will be requested to interview with
the school or with alumni in their area. This type of admission system is
parallel to our peer schools and will most certainly have a beneficial effect on
the quality of our student body. Our alumni community will see a rise in
requests for interviews from these prospective applicants.
If you are currently an admission volunteer, please make sure your contact
information is current in the
alumni
database. If you are interested in becoming
an admission volunteer, check out the
McCombs MBA Alumni Admission Network and
learn how to sign up.
McCombs Recruiting Events and the Power of Alumni
Many thanks to the alumni who have attended the various recruiting events across
the world on behalf of McCombs. Each year, the incoming class cites interaction
with our alumni as one of the most positive experiences that influenced their
decision to attend McCombs. Thank you for building a strong community and
shaping the future of this school.
