Wayport adds hot spots to Moscone Center

Hot spot operator Wayport announced on Wednesday that its service will be available starting in the spring in San Francisco's Moscone Center conference facility. The service--which allows Wi-Fi device owners to wirelessly access a network for broadband Internet access--will be available in common areas and meeting rooms at Moscone Center. It will start in Moscone North and South areas, with access for the recently built Moscone West due later. InSite Wireless installed the antenna system that the service will use to provide a wireless network. The network will support 802.11b- and 802.11g-based devices.
