Scope of the Program

Every project goes through a sequential series of three overlapping phases, which in the Project Management Consortium (PMC) we broadly define as Front-End Development, Project Delivery and Operational Performance. We further refine these phases into focused, smaller steps and advocate the use of a stage-gate process with milestone decision gates. The intent is to refine the project plan in a structured and progressive manner so as to address uncertainty and risk in discrete, manageable steps.
