Texas Instruments and Executive Education

Let’s say you are an award winning employer and a leader in your field. What would you do and where would you go to keep your employees sharp, creative and coming up with the new ideas and products that have set you ahead of the competition? You could do what Texas Instruments has done, team up with Texas Executive Education to provide specialized university level training in-house.

TI is committed to the well-being and professional development of its employees and has won a host of awards for creating a culture that values integrity, innovation and commitment. TI employees can take advantage of a broad range of opportunities: from adoption benefits to on-site summer camps for kids and from stress management to development centers where you can plan your career.

The Business Leadership Certificate is a customized mini-MBA program developed by Texas Executive Education to meet the specific needs of TI’s upper level managers. The program offers a graduate-level multi-disciplinary curriculum that focuses on the most critical decisions that must be made when running a business in a technology-intensive company in a high-volatility competitive environment.

The program offers 20 courses in five tracks: Leadership, Finance, Marketing, Strategy and Execution (new this year). TIers must complete 12 courses to receive the Business Leadership Certificate. “This program allows us to do what we do best,” says Chantal Delys, Assistant Dean for Executive Education. “We identify the customer’s needs and wants, and give them the knowledge necessary to strengthen their organization and the leadership capacity of their employees.”

Even though the Business Leadership Certificate program has been in operation since November 2001, it remains exciting and fresh for TI because it is under constant scrutiny by Executive Education to make sure that its content is updated and expanded to reflect the latest knowledge and trends in business.
