AUGUST 2008
Austin Executive Seminar I
The first seminar precedes the fall
semester of the first year and provides
a framework for the intensive
study of financial accounting,
statistics and decision analysis, and
strategic management. In addition,
students will be introduced
to cohort and team-building
dynamics.
APRIL 2009
Austin Executive Seminar II
The second seminar, at the end
of Year One, is a focused examination
of business problems and
strategies, giving students an
opportunity to integrate the
skills gained in their first year.
AUGUST 2009
Austin Executive Seminar III
Year Two begins with an introduction
to the topics of marketing,
financial statement analysis,
managerial accounting, and operations
management.
MAY 2010
International Seminar
The final seminar is held at an
international location chosen to
provide students with an exploration
of and an in-depth exposure
to competitive approaches
and business practices in dynamic
areas of the global economy.
The four Executive Seminars are
a central feature of the program.
In addition to the formal courses,
participants will complete six
elective hours, chosen from four
alternatives--including electives
courses, special studies/independent
study, a professional report, or
the Washington Campus Program
(three of the six hours).
