Athena Simpson is a lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business, teaching about new venture mechanics in the Department of Management.

Simpson teaches students how to actualize a business idea. They focus on not only the operational and financial elements of starting a business, but also the emotional and mental components that prepare future entrepreneurs for sustainable success in business and life.

Simpson is an entrepreneur, investor, and high-performance adviser and educator. She has a background in media, marketing, events, and business strategy in the U.S. and England. Her Unrestricted Bootcamp helps participants unlock their potential mentally, physically, and at work. Through her company Unrestricted Ventures, she acquires small businesses with the goal to create greater value.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast business management from Arizona State University.
