Mark Zyla is a lecturer in the Department of Finance at The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. He teaches on business valuation and serves on the Advisory Council for Texas McCombs’ Master of Science in Finance program.

He is managing director of Zyla Valuation Advisors LLC, a value and decision analytics firm that specializes in business valuation and litigation services. His focus is valuation issues in financial reporting and in tax reporting requirements. Also a litigation consultant, Zyla was managing director of Acuitas Inc., a forensic accounting and litigation consulting firm in Atlanta, before launching his firm in 2019.

A member of the Business Valuation Hall of Fame since 2013, Zyla earned a BBA in finance from Texas McCombs and an MBA in finance from Georgia State University. He is a chartered financial analyst, a certified public accountant accredited in business valuation, and a certified financial forensics expert.
