Koehler, J. J. (1995). Decision theory for a general audience. Contemporary Psychology, 40, 315-316.
ABSTRACT
This is a review of Scott Plous's book, The psychology of judgment and decision making. This is a well-written, flashy textbook on judgment and decision making for the nonspecialist. Decision theorists are less likely to learn about the field from this book because they are not its intended audience. But they should purchase a copy anyway along with some nice wrapping paper: Among currently available books on judgment and decision making, this is the one I would recommend as a gift to mothers of decision theorists everywhere who never really understood what their sons and daughters did for a living.
