Last Food in Austin before we left!
Arrival!

Santiago really reminds me of California/Arizona.  It is much drier than I had anticipated, especially the mountains (Rob)

Got to the hotel and it feels very comfortable.  It is strange not to tote around my cell phone and computer.  I am having some withdrawal.  (Marilyn)

Afternoon

Santiago City Tour

“Dear Diary,

We made it to Santiago today.  And you’ll never guess who we saw!  Madonna!...” (Chris S.)

Evening

Dinner at El Divertimento Restaurant

For dinner, we went to El Divertimento – a fantastic restaurant.  It was so much fun to meet our team mates and feast on empanadas and red wine!  Lindsey and I kept “splitting” empanadas, although we still managed to down 5 or 6 each.  Oh, and of course a few Pisco Sours! (Rosanna)

Later that night, we went for dinner to a nice Chilean-Argentinean restaurant called “El Divertimento.”  I must confess that I couldn’t stop eating empanadas (around 10-12 of them), enjoying a fine glass of wine, but most importantly enjoying the opportunity to meet in person my Chilean teammates. I guess this is a moment that everybody in the classroom was waiting for (Enrique).
