Dude, this trip has definitely opened my eyes.  I can’t believe I played soccer today and I actually enjoyed it.  I thought that I’d go to watch the others but I was much too competitive for that.  I strapped on the knee brace and decided to play.  It was a blast.  Marilyn was super competitive and she was probably the biggest reason that we won.  It was amazing to watch someone so small repeatedly frock the strikers from the other team.  I would have never believed it if I haven’t seen it with my own eyes.    I didn’t know how to kick a soccer ball for the first 90% of the game and I could hear the Brazilians laughing at the big American with the decidedly “soft” touch.  Ro did an awesome job playing goalie and the Latin Americans (Javier and Enrique) dominated as expected.   (Brodrick)

Afternoon

We went to a museum that housed the best collection of Brazilian art in Brazil.  I was surprised to see how much European influence there was in the art and how little American influence there was.  (Chad)
