Who hosts the McCombs International Business Challenge?
MIBC is hosted by the Undergradaute Business Council at The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
Who can enter MIBC?
MIBC is open to teams of 4 undergraduate students from business colleges from all over the world. Talk to your advisor in your business school to find out if they hold interviews and auditions for team placement or if they would be interested in starting a team for MIBC.
How do you enter MIBC?
Contact MIBC chair, Gautam Shah, by early summer, preferably spring, of the year in which the competition will be held. MIBC is held every fall in mid to late October and only certain colleges and universities are accepted or invited to attend. Historically, between 15 and 20 schools compete at the Challenge.
Who are the advisors of MIBC?
The student involvement and leadership program coordinator, Stephanie Hinojosa-Galvan, is the primary advisor for MIBC. The faculty advisors are Dr. Doug Dierking, Assistant Department Chair Management, and John Doggett, J.D., Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management.
