The Recruiting Process for Students in the
Integrated MPA
MPA students are highly recruited for positions in public accounting, industry, banking, and government. The recruiting process, including receptions for spring internships, typically begins after the spring semester of students' initial year in the program. Most students will complete an internship during the spring semester of their senior year or during a summer at the conclusion of their junior year or senior year. In addition, a limited number of internships are available in the fall. Frequently students accept a permanent position with the firm or company that provided the internship opportunity.
To prepare for the recruiting process, students should have an updated resume prepared at the conclusion of each academic year. Several faculty members and the Ford Career Center can provide students with assistance with the recruiting process.
