TRACKS AND TRAJECTORIES
Where Have We Been, Where Are We Going?

Dynamic forces have led to significant changes in performance reporting of all types. No constituency has gone untouched, including government, standard setters, corporations, NGOs, taxpayers, professional services firms, educators and information users such as investors--to name a few. What forces have influenced our past and what tracks have they left on the reporting landscape? What forces will affect the future and what is our trajectory looking ahead? To address these critical issues, the fall 2007 Distinguished Speaker Series theme is: "TRACKS AND TRAJECTORIES--Where Have We Been, Where Are We Going?"

The Distinguished Speaker Series at The University of Texas at Austin is a hallmark of the Master in Professional Accounting (MPA) program. It integrates graduate accounting studies with current issues in accounting practice by enabling young professionals at the McCombs School of Business to interact with senior professionals in the field.

Fall 2007 Distinguished Speaker Series sessions are scheduled on Wednesdays from 5-6 p.m. in the San Jacinto Hall Multipurpose Room on the UT Austin campus. Each Distinguished Speaker Series presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer period and a brief reception.
