MPA Distinguished Speaker Lyceum

A hallmark of the Master in Professional Accounting (MPA) program is its Distinguished Speaker Lyceum, which integrates graduate accounting studies with current issues. Through the series, students in their last year of the program broaden their understanding of accounting’s fundamental role in business and society. Speakers enable students to discover the profession’s shaping forces, trends, origins, importance and more.

To demonstrate the pervasive nature of the accounting profession, the MPA Distinguished Speaker Lyceum welcomes professionals from diverse backgrounds. This year, the lineup includes professionals involved in the performing arts, ethics studies, sustainability, policymaking, financial services, as well as traditional accounting areas.

The Fall 2009 MPA Distinguished Speaker Lyceum occurs on Tuesdays from 5-6 p.m. in University Teaching Center (UTC) room 2.112A on the UT Austin campus. Each presentation provides opportunities for audience questions and answers.
