Jeanne Brown Award ($2,000)
Jeanne Brown was a staff member for many years in the School and exemplified excellence in her work throughout her service. It is in Jeanne's honor that we established an award for a staff member based on excellence and longevity. The Jeanne Brown Award is to be given to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding performance of job responsibilities, unselfish dedication to duty, and longevity of service (a minimum of 15 years at UT Austin). The award is not given every year and nominations remain active for consideration the following year. The recipient must be a permanent employee in the McCombs School of Business. NOMINATIONS MAY BE SUBMITTED BY FACULTY/ STAFF ONLY.
One award of $2,000 is available to:
- non-teaching staff
- classified & code 1000 employees
- permanent employees - 20 hours or more per week
Criteria for the Award:
- demonstrates outstanding performance of job responsibilities
- unselfish dedication to duty
- longevity of service (15 years at UT Austin)
Nominations may be submitted by faculty/staff only.
If you wish to submit your nomination in memo form, please deliver it to Del Watson in the dean's office, GSB 2.104.
