Campaign Makes a Mark

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Business Honors Program (BHP), alumni of the program have founded a new tradition of student support, the “Make a Mark” campaign.

Modeled on the successful “Leave a Legacy” program begun by MBA students in 1996, “Make a Mark” encouraged the 2000 BHP senior class to pledge support for future improvements. The McCombs School BBA senior class is expected to participate in future campaigns, so that all students will have the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the School.

In the inaugural year of this new tradition, the BHP seniors chose a $25,000 scholarship fund as a goal. With assistance from the BHP Advisory Committee and the employee match of their new employers, the scholarship is more than half funded! Over 70 percent of the nearly 100 graduating seniors and 4th year PPA students participated, a remarkable show of support.

The BHP Class of 2000 scholarship will recognize the achievement of at least one student each year and will remain a strong reminder of the Class’s leadership in launching this successful student giving initiative. Special thanks to Robin Boesch, BBA ’00, Chair of the Campaign, and Sean Fallon, BBA ’91, Advisory Board member, for providing drive and direction in making this effort a success!
