Scholarship Students Meet Benefactors
What do you get when you cross generous philanthropists with great business students? At the third annual Endowed Scholarship Dinner, we got a room full of grateful people! With record attendance, the dinner was a forum to honor the donors and recipients of these prestigious graduate and undergraduate scholarships and to introduce the recipients to their benefactors.
Before the program, the students visited with their donors, faculty members, and University leaders. Speakers at the event included Associate Professor Jay Kohler, a respected researcher in behavioral decision theory and probabilistic reasoning; MBA student Nikki Rath, who encouraged students to make their world a better place; and freshman BBA Cedrick Jones.
The event was a worthy tribute to the donors who help make the Texas student body the best and most diverse possible. Next year's scholarship dinner is tentatively scheduled for February 2, 2001.
