Executive Education Launches Women's Leadership Institute
By Sonia Ansari

To expand and further develop the managerial and leadership abilities of high achieving women, Texas Executive Education has created the Leadership Institute for Women Executives. This is a first-of-its-kind program for mid- to senior-level female managers. “We would prefer that more women enter the MBA program,” says Chantal Delys, Associate Dean of Executive Education. “But recognizing the unique circumstances preventing them from doing so, we developed this program to meet them on their own terms.”

The Institute will offer women executives an opportunity to explore and discuss contemporary leadership issues and top management concerns. “It will empower its participants not only to keep pace with the revolution in today’s business environment, but to lead the way and share their vision for the 21st Century,” says Delys.

The Institute will be presented in two sessions, fall and spring 2001, and each session will have four modules. This spring’s topics include Aligning Business Strategy; Leading and Motivating in Uncertain Times; Executive Communication; and Market Strategy for Competitive Advantage. In the fall, the modules will focus on Leading Change in Organizations; Accounting & Finance for Non-Financial Managers; Navigating the Business Environment; and Implementing Vision into Action.
