Long-time McCombs School supporters Tom Turner, BBA ’62, and his wife Nan, BS ’62, pledged a gift this year to create the Tom and Nan Turner Endowed Excellence Fund in Graduate Studies. The Turners’ flexible gift will allow the dean to make strategic improvements such as attracting and rewarding top faculty and students, assisting with travel and research needs, bringing exciting speakers to campus, and other operational priorities.
An active member of the McCombs School Advisory Council, Tom’s familiarity with the most pressing operational priorities of the School led him to endow the excellence fund, which will be a significant resource for the McCombs School. It is also a lasting reminder of the Turners’ personal commitment to academic excellence and business success. Tom is Honorary Chairman of the Board of Bank of Texas, N.A.
Residents of Dallas, Tom and Nan have been involved with the University of Texas for many years. Their two sons also have a UT connection: Matthew Thomas Turner graduated BBA/Plan II ’94 and returned for an MBA in 1999, and Bryan Wade Turner, Plan II ’96 is currently enrolled in the MBA program.
