Make a Mark
Nears the Mark The Mitte Business Honors Program (MBHP) Class of
2002 continues to fulfill its pledges to the Make a Mark Endowed Presidential Scholarship, with $11,728 contributed as of March 4th. At that time, the endowment principal had already grown to $48,460, just short of the $50,000 minimum funding threshold.
When completely funded, the MBHP scholarship will be one of a very few UT scholarships funded primarily by current undergraduate students. This scholarship is a true testament to the community spirit and pride fostered at the McCombs School, where current students support the students of the future, their fellow alumni-to-be.
This April, the Class of 2003 will kick off its campaign. Committee members and Morgan Buchek, the Make a Mark 2003 chair, will no doubt make 2003 another successful year for the program.
Legacy Gift to Beautify Entrance
McCombs MBAs continue to leave their legacy through the 2nd year class gift. The Class of 2002 has pledged $105,000 to support the renovation of the 21st Street entrance courtyard. Preliminary designs are underway and a group of '02 alumni are working with McCombs School staff on the renovation plans.
The Leave a Legacy tradition, begun by students in 1996, continues to
inspire the McCombs MBA community and provides a great opportunity for
current students to positively impact the School and MBA program.
Leave a Legacy donations help to give students an increasingly
positive experience, a great way to give back and build on the McCombs
experience.
