Alumna Returns as Director for Development for the McCombs School

In February, the McCombs School welcomed Mary Ann Maltz as the new director for development. Maltz, who graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, has already begun to cultivate opportunities for increased engagement and support with her fellow alumni.

“I have great affection for my alma mater and am glad to be back,” Maltz said. “The students are full of energy and it’s inspiring to know that our efforts are helping to grow the future leaders of tomorrow.”

Maltz brings 15 years of fundraising experience to the position. She has previously worked with The University of Texas at Austin’s College of Communications, March of Dimes and American Cancer Society. Most recently, she served as director of annual giving for the Children’s Medical Center Foundation of Central Texas, which raises funds for the Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin.

“I am looking forward to building on the positive interactions with alumni and friends that I have already had at the McCombs School. We have great supporters and it’s easy to see where their passion stems from,” Maltz said, who has remained active in The University of Texas at Austin community through alumni activities. “In the end it’s about sharing information and working together to continue our tradition of excellence.”

In her role as director for development for the McCombs School, Maltz manages all fundraising efforts that include annual giving and major gifts.
