Carolina Herrera, BBA 74, was named one of the Top 50 Hispanic Women in Business by Hispanic Business magazine in its April 2001 issue. Herrera is a fashion designer in New York. Her Carolina Herrera Collection combines Latin femininity with elegance and practicality. She launched her fashion business in the early 1980s.

Noell Michaels, BBA 81, has been named senior vice president of sales for UAL Corporation’s BizJet subsidiary. He was previously with Gulfstream Aerospace Co., and named their Worldwide Salesman of the Year in 1997.
Paul Boitmann, BBA 82, has been appointed president of Newell Rubbermaid Inc’s, Home Depot division. He has been with Newell Rubbermaid for over 18 years and will be responsible for reorganizing and integrating the company’s Home Depot sales force.

Dewana Jo (Smith) Tilotta, BBA 90, and her husband Michael celebrated the first birthday of their daughter, Clara Hope in June. Dewana resigned her position at Digital Graphic Systems last year to be a full time mom.

Maria Carmen Nonay Vela, BBA 91, after spending two years in Europe managing the Outreach Program for MIGA-the World Bank Group, returned to the World Bank’s headquarters in Washington D.C. She is currently in charge of regional strategies and policy for the Country Development Group of MIGA.
