Rick Lemmon, BBA 62, has been elected CFO/senior vice president of Estrella Energy, LP, a partnership committed to the acquisition, construction and management of natural gas industry assets with a focus on intrastate and regional interstate pipelines.
Robert W. Ricks, BBA 69, earned the Infiniti Division Award of Excellence in 2004 at Peninsula Infiniti in Redwood City, CA. The award is earned for excellence in sales, service, customer satisfaction, market share and facility standards. Only one other Infiniti dealer in the state of California earned this distinction in 2004.
Lamar Johnson, BBA 70, retired in January after more than 33 years with Proctor and Gamble. Johnson’s most recent assignment had been director of customer services and logistics for Proctor and Gamble’s North American Business. Currently in Cincinnati, he and wife Deb plan to reside in Austin after their son graduates high school in 2005.
Jay R. Lucas, BBA 79, was named one the most influential people in real estate in the December issue of Realtor Magazine for his work developing the Site to Do Business, targeted to real estate professionals.
Michael Orlando, BBA 79, is now serving as chair of the American Bar Association’s corporate counsel committee. He previously had served as chair of the tort trial and insurance coverage litigation committee.
Peter M. Boyce, BBA 80, is a Partner at Williams-Boyce Agency, LLP an independent insurance agency located in Amarillo. Williams-Boyce is proud to be celebrating its 100th year in business in 2004. Peter and wife Maureen are the proud parents of future UT students Anna, Sam and Molly.
Steven R. Gragg, BBA 80, has joined the Dispute Analysis & Investigations practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Phoenix as a manager of the Real Estate Litigation Support Group. His responsibilities include the management of a team of professionals solving property value diminution and class action litigation support problems throughout the U.S.
Scott Cole, BBA 84, has recently launched the “Get Fit America” campaign to educate kids and their parents on making a lifetime of healthy choices. Cole has also recently made an appearance on The View as fitness and wellness coach for the kids of Meredith’s Club.
Eledith Falk, BBA 85, has been promoted by Frost Bank to senior vice president in professional and executive lending. She had been vice president.
Ridge Miller, BBA 85, relocated from Nashville to Indianapolis to head up Crowe Chizek and Company’s construction, architecture and engineering audit and tax practice in the Indiana and Ohio regions. Miller is now a partner with the seventh largest accounting firm in the U.S. He and his wife Paige have a 4-year-old daughter.
Elizabeth Copeland, BBA 86, her husband Brad Wilder, and daughter Alexis are pleased to announce the birth of their baby boy, Preston Avery. Elizabeth is a shareholder with the law firm of Oppenheimer, Blend, Harrison, & Tate, Inc. in San Antonio.
Cathy Liles Sweeney, BBA 87, was recently named a “Star to Watch” by Commercial Property News, a leading publication in the commercial real estate industry. She is one of nineteen “stars” selected.
Sonja Franklin, BBA 88, has recently married Mark Lind (BA 88). She is an optometrist with a practice located in Austin.
Jason S. Spitz, BBA 88, was named vice president, marketing and sales of Aesgen, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company.
Trae O’Neil High, BBA 92, recently joined David M. Loev, BBA 92, in practicing corporate securities law. Trae left Deloitte & Touche’s New York office where he practiced international tax, and remains in New York.
Ronald Telles, BBA 92, has accepted a position as management analyst for the U.S. Army, Fort Bliss, Garrison Command. Telles previously worked as a business operations manager at Fort Bliss Morale, Welfare and Recreation.
Faisal Kajani, BBA 96, has recently established his own practice, Kajani & Associates, P.C., specializing in business, corporate, securities and real estate law.
J. McLane, BBA 96, completed MBA studies at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in June and soon thereafter accepted a position as a principal with Lime Rock Partners, an energy-focused private equity partnership in Westport, CT.
Brett Johnson, BBA 97, relocated from Colorado Springs to Boise, Idaho with Hewlett Packard. Johnson still serves as a marketing manger with Hewlett Packard’s network storage organization.
Katherine M. Patten, BBA 99, married George Russell Altenbaugh in July.
