Reginald M. Goldsmith III, MBA 90, is living in Dallas with wife Michelle (married 7/14/96) where he is Vice-President - Corporate Banking for Comerica Bank.

Tim Butler, MBA 90, is now a Securities Analyst in the E-Finance Sector for Pacific Crest Securities.

Hiroaki Ota, MBA 90, was promoted Senior Vice President of M&A Division of Sakura Bank. His second son, Tomoki, was born in July.

Carol Levin Margolis, BBA 89, MBA 90, and Kevin Margolis, BBA 89, had a baby boy, Blake Adam Margolis in January.

Elizabeth (Betsy) McCandless, BBA 89, MBA 90, married John Greytok, on October 21, 1999, in Rome, Italy.

Sandy Renfro Callaghan, MPA 90, received her Ph.D. in accounting from Michigan State University and joined the faculty at TCU.

J. Marc Neves CPA , MBA 90, was promoted to senior manager of the Lawson Software practice of the Austin-based consulting firm S3G.

Allan Sih, BBA 90, MPA 90, became a senior manager in Business Development at the Smart Card Enterprise Development group at American Express Company.

Patricia F. Youngdale, Option II MBA 90, was hired as the Manager of Business Analysis & Support in the Management Information Systems Division for the Texas Association of School Boards.

Elizabeth Esteves, MBA 90, welcomed a new baby boy in March. Elizabeth won the President’s Cup at Ortho Biotech for her performance as the #1 pharmaceutical rep in the nation in 2000.

John R. Thomas, MBA 90, is president and CEO of MedSynergies, Inc., a healthcare information services firm headquartered in Dallas. He and his wife Natalie have two daughters.

Michael Engelman, MBA 90, was promoted to Field Marketing Director for Church's Chicken.

Mary C. Huigens, MBA 90, married Mike Huigens in 1996 and have a two year old son, Jack, and a one year old daughter, Kate. She has been employed for seven years as a trust officer at the Bank of Oklahoma.

Cliff McConville, MBA 90, left the corporate insurance world to start an Internet-focused health insurance distribution company, OnLine Coverage LLC, based in Chicago.

Julie Jacobson, MBA 90, moved to Minnesota to marry Duane Paulson. She is editor of Home Networking News, (www.homenetnews.com) an industry trade newsletter.

David Martinez, MBA 90, was promoted to senior financial advisor with American Express in March. He and his wife Sofia Conde, BA 89, have two children and live in Austin.

Debbie Spalding, MBA 90, is now the Product Manager for Application Services at the Dallas office of Harbinger Corporation, a leading B2B e-commerce company.

John H. Thompson, BBA 88, MBA 90, and wife Susan were blessed with their second daughter, Rachel Elise, in May. Also, John accepted a position in the Business Process Management organization of Andersen Consulting in Dallas.

Paul S. Bartley, BBA, MPA 90, was recently named chief of staff for the International Broadcasting Bureau, a U.S. government agency that oversees non-military international broadcasting such as the Voice of America and Radio and
TV Marti.

Jim Cox, BBA 63, MBA 90, was reappointed by Governor Rick Perry to serve a six-year term as a member of the Texas Lottery Commission. The Commission’s three-member board oversees the operation of the $3 billion Texas Lottery, which provides nearly $1 billion annually for the support of public education.

Marcy Frazier Huigens, MBA 90, is a vice president at the Bank of Oklahoma. She has two children, Jack age 4 and Kate age 3.

Michelle McKinney Frymire, MBA 91, was recently named chief financial officer for Delta Technology, a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines. She will hold this role in addition to her previous position as vice president of finance for marketing and international. Michelle and her husband, Rich Frymire, MBA 92, live in Atlanta and have four children, including a new baby girl, Sara Katherine, born in January 2004. Rich is currently the vice president of finance for Atlantic Southeast Airlines.

Joe Birkofer, MBA 91, and Carol Meyer Birkofer, MBA 91, are pleased to announce the birth of their son Theodore Richard on May 28th. In August, Joe joined with two other partners to start Legacy Asset Management, an Investment Management Consulting firm. Joe specializes in corporate retirement plans. He writes that his UT courses in entrepreneurship, especially with Moot Corp and Jeff Sandefer, have really helped him. Carol has taken a leave of absence from Chase to raise the kids and surf the Web.

Nancy Schmitz Eliason, BBA 89, MPA 91, was promoted to tax manager of Laidlaw, Inc., in Hurst, Texas, where she will be responsible for audits and tax planning.

Rebecca Esposito, BBA 86, MBA 91, left Miller Brewing to start her own communications company. CMS Training, based in Coppell, Texas, specializes in presentation, teaching, and public speaking skills.

Ace Starry, MBA 91, lists a host of professions on his resume, including burger flipper, ditch digger, carpenter, singer/songwriter, comedian, salesman, real estate executive, computer consultant, and CEO for a software company. He just added another title - novelist. Ace recently published The Magic Life, the story a young accountant who discovers life's secrets through the teachings of a magician mentor. Rob Williams, MBA 91, recently launched his own public relations consulting business and serves as president of the PCLA, the largest public relations association in Southern California.

Mark Bundy, MBA 91, is a partner with Midas Investments, Inc. in Atlanta, GA.

Burke W. Butler, MBA 91, is now Product Marketing Manager at Compaq in Houston and married Melissa Schwab, MBA 92, in October.

Rebecca Esposito, BBA 86, MBA 91, recently relocated to Austin and has started her own business, Presentations Plus, which helps executives improve their presentation and public speaking skills.

N. Rudy Garza, MBA 91, is the President of G-51 Capital, LLC.

Deepa (Keshwain) Menon, MBA 91, and Raj Menon, Option II MBA 00, are proud parents of a baby boy, Rahul Raj Menon.

Steve Painter, BBA 90, MBA 91, and wife entered parenthood in January with the birth of Scott Painter.

Christopher J. Simon, MBA 91, has recently joined an affiliate of JMI Energy, Inc.

Warren Sumner, MBA 91, has recently relocated to Austin and is working as Director of Internet Supply Chain for Garden.com.

Glenn Sweatt, MBA 91, is now general counsel for Environmental Chemical Corporation in San Francisco.

Chandler Bohnn Gray, MBA 91, and her husband Robert Gray are proud to announce the arrival of their son Hampton Scott Gray on Jan. 11, 2000.

Patricia Mack, MBA 91, and her husband Chris Mack started FINLE Technologies in 1990, which develops industry-standard lithography modeling & analysis software. KLA-Tencor, the world leader in yield management and process control solutions for semiconductor manufacturing and related industries, recently acquired FINLE.

Hidenori Yoshicka, MBA 91, recently resigned Micsui Trust & Banking and joined Prudential Investments Japan as SVP for Investment Management and Communication.

Mark Webb, MBA 91, is working for Karta Technologies, Inc. as a project manager focusing on federal government weapon and support system acquisitions. He recently joined the faculty of the University of Phoenix Online, approved to teach in the areas of management, organizational behavior, critical thinking/decision-making, and project management. He and his wife Susan have four children.

James Lancaster, MBA 92, co-founded an outsourcing start-up venture named Avvantica in mid 2003 after working with a variety of start-ups since 2000. James and wife Paula live in Las Colinas and have three kids.

Robert Neill, BBA/MPA 92, has been promoted to the position of vice president, corporate technology services at Harte-Hanks, a worldwide, direct and targeted marketing company. Robert lives in Austin with his wife Jackie (Snokhous,) BBA 92, and their two daughters.

Bill and Jeanne (Carty) Davison, both MBA 92, welcomed their first child, Austin Henry in February. The family resides in Denver.

Todd Piccus, MBA 90, JD 92, recently re-joined Mattel, Inc., where he is assistant general counsel. He negotiates deals for the new media, Internet, technology, Mattel brand (Hot Wheels, Barbie, Fisher-Price), and real estate groups.

Brent A. Fisher, MBA 92, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Medical Group Association.

Scot Jenkins, MBA 92, has been promoted to Director of Sales & Marketing for Cook Manley.

Ralph Jones, BBA 92, MPA 92, married Denise McDonald in September.

Michael B. Kramer, MBA 92, and wife Ansley just had their second child, Maxwell Spence Kramer, in June.

Peter Kreiser, MBA 92, and his wife had their third child in August.

David Lucke, MBA 92, was married to Katherine Schulze in June.

Anne Moorer Martin, MPA 92, and her husband Tim welcomed the arrival of daughter Gisele Mireille Marguerite Martin in July.

Craig Paradee, BBA 91, MPA 92, married Summer Deming in June.

Frederick Kent Peters, MBA 92, started a new job as a District Sales Executive selling Enterprise Systems Management Solutions at Tivoli Systems Inc in Houston.

Licia Petmecky, BBA 89, MBA 92, was married in June to James Michael Cosgrove of Ireland.

Todd Ebert and his wife Regan, MBAs 92, announce the birth of their second child, Jennifer Leigh, who joins sibling Kathryn. Regan is now director of marketing for potato chips at Frito Lay and Todd is director of marketing at Entrust, an Internet security firm. The family lives in Plano.

In Lee, MBA 92, has moved from Seton Hall University to Western Illinois University to accept an assistant professor teaching position in the Information Systems department. 

Darrell Bacak, MPA 92/BBA 92, and his wife Shelby (Corrier) Bacak are pleased to announce the birth of baby Graham in January 2003. He joins brother Kevin. The family resides in Houston, where Darrell works as a senior tax accountant for Baker Hughes Inc.

In January, James H. Lee, BBA 88 and MBA 92, was appointed by Governor Rick Perry to the Finance Commission of Texas for a term of six years. He will serve as the Mortgage Broker Representative on the Commission. Lee is the President of E*TRADE Professional Trading, LLC, and also sits on the Advisory Committee of the UT Chancellor's Council. Lee and his wife live in Houston.

Stephen Brown, MPA 92, recently authored two articles for the Journal of International Taxation—“Final Regs. Simplify Use of Consolidated NOLs” (October 1999) and “Final Regs. Ease FTC Limitation Rules for Consolidated Groups” (March 2000). Stephen is a Senior Manager with Deloitte &Touche’s Washington National Tax Office.

Anthony Eltvedt, MBA 92, is now Manager Corporate Finance for Philips International BV.

Bill Davison, MBA 92, has been named vice president of sales for Raindance Communications, Inc., a provider of Web and phone conferencing services that make meetings more productive. Before joining Raindance, Davison held management positions at CES International and Indus International.

Harald Eisenaecher, MBA 92 and co-founder of Texas MBA Germany, recently was promoted to senior vice president marketing at Lufthansa Cargo AG. Before joining Lufthansa, Harald worked seven years in various sales and marketing positions in the chemicals and pharmaceuticals industry in Germany and the U.S. Currently, Harald lives in Frankfurt, Germany.

Richard Frymire, MBA 92, has been selected as vice president of finance for Atlantic Southeast Airlines in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to joining ASA, Frymire served as a financial consultant for Delta Air Lines.

Mike Carter, BBA 73, MBA 92, recently left H.E.B. Grocery Co. and moved to Chicago to join Supervalu as Executive VP - Midwest Region. Wife Suzanne, MBA 92, is an assistant professor at the University of Notre Dame.

In Lee, MBA 92, became an assistant professor in MIS at Western Illinois University after receiving a PhD in MIS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1998.

Anthony Perry, MBA 92, has become project manager for the Bureau of the Census' $100-million-dollar digital imaging initiative. He is coordinating a team of software and systems engineers for the Bureau's Year 2000 Data Capture System.

Joe Huber, BBA ’93, MPA ’93, and Paula Huber are proud to announce the birth of their first child and future Longhorn, Hayden Elizabeth, in August 2004.

Dirk Hoffman, MBA 93, announces the birth of his son, Felix. The family lives in Berlin.

Chad Kokenge, MPA 93, was selected for a two-year appointment as a professional accounting fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Previously Kokenge worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP.

Michael Parker, MBA 93, has become a new partner in Fulbright & Laworski, L.L.P. Prior to becoming a partner, Michael served as senior associate in Fulbright’s San Antonio office.

Greg Jiongo, BBA 88, MPA 93, was recently promoted to manager of inventory analysis at IBM's PC division in Apex, North Carolina. Greg and wife Cerina were expecting their third child as we went to press.

Kaj Engberg, MBA 93, married Tina Brickley in June 26.

Kevin Hale, MBA 93, is now a Competitive Intelligence Manager for Compaq.

Kurt Holderied, MBA 93, and his wife Katie had a baby girl, Zoe Marie Holderied in July.

Jorge Lonegro, MBA 93, married Sharon Gurfinkel in Buenos Aires in October.

Don Maranca, BBA 93, MPA 93, has formed Eventerprise, a professional event management firm.

Byron Marsales, MBA 93, and wife Karen had a baby boy, Nathan Cole Marsales, in July.

Edgar N. Medinaceli, MBA 93, has moved from McKinsey & Co. to BHN, the largest mortgage bank in Argentina.

Mary Ann Pano, MBA 93, married Matthew Hughes in November.

Lee E. Potts, BBA 93, MPA 93, took a position with the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer, and Feld, LLP in their Austin office.

Dong-Eon Ryu, MPA 93, was promoted to senior manager at Federal Tax Practice in the New York Office of KPMG LLP in July.

Becky Benzley Turk, MBA 93, and Richard Turk, MBA 93, celebrated the birth of their first son and second child, Brandon James, in August.

Majorie Mastin Winters, MBA 93, received her JD from the UT School of Law in May. She has taken a position as Associate with Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin and Hachigian in Austin.

Tom Ray, MBA 93, recently joined the Carlyle Group, a private equity firm in Washington, D.C. as Vice President. He and his wife Stacey celebrated the birth of their first child, Matthew L. Ray, in August.

Rich Fox, MBA 93, was named President of Ardent, a training and consulting firm in Rochester, New York.

Tracie Hervey Shelton, MBA 93, and her husband, Marcus welcomed their first child, McKenzie Claire, in November 2001.

Roger Bhalla, MBA 93, was promoted to Senior Manager of Worldwide Pricing and LifeCycle Planning for the Commercial Desktop Division of Compaq Computer Corporation.

Scott Camera, MBA 93, is a Senior Manager with Deloitte Consulting in Atlanta, Georgia. Married in 1997, Scott and wife Elissa had a baby girl, Carson Fay, on August 2, 1999.

Jolie Howard, MPA 93, received her JD from the University of Houston in May 1999 and is employed with Baker Botts in Austin.

Greg Jiongo, MPA 93, changed positions at IBM, leaving his position as Plant Inventory Manager for the Raleigh manufacturing plant for a position in Marketing as a Global Account Manager.

Jorge Lonegro, MBA 93, was appointed Head of Derivatives at Citibank Buenos Aires. Jorge also retains responsibility for the Money Markets business of the Argentine branch of Citibank.

Guy Madison, MBA 93, is Associate Publisher of Sales for Career Communications Group, Inc. He recently served as a visiting professor at North Carolina Central University in the National Urban League's Black Executive Exchange Program.

Becky Benzley Turk, MBA 93, and Richard Turk, MBA 93, are proud to announce the arrival of their first son and second child, Brandon James, on August 23, 1999. The family lives in Santa Monica, California.

Roger Bhalla, MBA 93, was promoted in April to Director of Commercial Portables Business Planning with Compaq Computer Corporation.

Marisa Martin Brown, MBA 93, and her husband, Harry Brown, have a wonderful new daughter, Deborah Elizabeth Brown, born March 30.

Damon Hylton, BBA 92, MBA 93, has accepted a position with Hawaiian Airlines as Senior Director of Market Planning. Damon, his wife Jennifer, and their four children relocated to Honolulu this fall.

Kevin Lemke, MBA 93, has joined Zilliant Inc., as a director of business development. He previously worked at Dell.

Byron Marsales, MBA 93, and his wife, Karen, welcomed a daughter, Mckenzie in September 2002. Their 3-year-old son, Nathan, has been a terrific big brother. Byron started in a new role at Dell Computer as a marketing programs manager focusing on customer retention. 

James F. Arens II, MBA 93, was promoted to senior vice president at The Trust Company of Oklahoma. He and his wife Katie have an 18-month old son.

Barbara Ross, MBA 93, and Matthias Epp, MBA 93, were married in New York City in October 1999 and welcomed a baby girl, Katherine Marie, last August.

Ginger Guthrie Wilson, MBA 93, and her husband Chris had their third child in May, Robert Christopher. The family lives in La Canada, CA, where Ginger works as a marketing consultant for Nestle USA.

John Cook, MBA 94, lives in San Francisco with his wife. He launched his own company at the end of 2003 importing housewares from New Zealand.

Santiago Durlach, MBA 94, lives in Buenos Aires and is married with three children. He works for a cured spanish ham factory and says things are really tough in Argentina, but life is still good.

Bill Tolany, MBA 94, lives in Austin. After a couple of dotcom busts, he went low-tech and created a trivia board game called “Dibs.” Dibs was just named “Best Party Game” by GAMES Magazine. Check it out online at http://www.playdibs.com.

Cagri (Char) Velidedeoglu, MBA 94, returned to Turkey after graduation to work in family-owned company EKSEN, which specializes in road and highway construction. He initiated the first international contract of the company in 2002 in Kazakhstan and is currently vice president responsible for international projects & business development. Cagri married in 1999 and has a daughter born in December 2002.

Bob Burnett, MBA 94, was recently promoted to the position of senior manager within Deloitte Consulting.

Jim Butler, Option II MBA 94, is now in charge of interactive industry development for the City of Austin.

Brad Casiday, MPA 94, recently joined the firm of Wood, Harper & Associates, P.C. of Sugar Land. He and his wife, Jennifer, celebrated the birth of their second child, Amanda Renee.

William Coe, MBA 94, JD 94, has joined the Austin law firm of Clark, Thomas & Winters as an associate practicing in the energy law section.

Leslie Dauer, MBA/MPA 94, has just been promoted to be the Gulf States Area Senior Financial Analyst for ENTEX Information Services in Houston.

Ron Dodson, MBA 94, married Jody Whitney Payne in June.

John Dorman, MBA 94, recently joined the law firm of Andrews & Kurth L.L.P. He and his wife, Catherine, also welcomed daughter Abbey Elizabeth in March.

Steven Dougherty, MPA 94, was promoted to Manager in Assurance at KPMG LLP in Houston in July.

Michael R. Johnson, MBA 94, has been elected to the Executive Committee of the Association of Oil Pipelines for a three year term.

Pierre Joseph, MPA 94, has recently been promoted to Manager of International Tax for Deloitte & Touche LLP.

Chris Lynch, MBA 94, is now the accounting manager at Handtech.com.

Jerry Margolis, MBA 94, has taken a new position with Philip Morris USA as Associate Marketing Director in New York City.

Profirio Diaz Nieto, MBA 94, has relocated to Madrid, Spain with a subsidiary of Cemex.

Bill Tolany, MBA 94, is now working for AIM Technologies, a startup in Austin.

Jerry Trieber, BBA 94, MPA 94, is now employed as a Financial Review Auditor with MeriStar Hotels and Resorts.

George Vano, MBA 94, is now President for Great Frozen Foods, Inc.

Matt Kenner, MBA 94, has been promoted to vice president, director of retail brokerage services for Trammell Crow Company, Houston.

Dan Petronella, MBA 94, has relocated to Columbus, Ohio to be the director of financial planning & analysis for The Limited, Inc., after nearly five years with Disney in various analytical and finance positions.

Scott Uhrig, MBA 94, joins Connet & Company, an executive search firm. He was previously with TMP Worldwide Executive Search.

Mike Brown, MBA 94, and Therese Brown celebrated the birth of their second daughter, Grace Elizabeth, born on March 18th. They live in State College, PA where Mike is a Ph.D. candidate in Management/Organizational Behavior at Penn State University.

Sean Butcher, MBA 94, was promoted to Director of Production at Hearme.com, a Silicon Valley Internet company.

Reggie Cobb, MBA 94, is now the Global Data Warehousing Program manaer for Nortel Networks. He is responsible for deploying business partners around the globe.

Tammy (Carr) Williams, BBA 94, MPA 94, and husband Travis welcomed a baby girl in October 1999.

Charles Briner, MBA 94, and his wife Marie are proud to announce the birth of their first child, Diana Noel. She was born in Dallas in December.

Wes Dorman, MBA/JD 94, was elected as a partner of Andrews & Kurth LLP. Wes is a member of the firm's Corporate and Securities group in Houston and specializes in mergers & acquisitions.

Reggie Cobb, MBA 94, is the new Global Data Warehousing Program Manager for Nortel Networks and is responsible for deploying business intelligence solutions for employees and business partners around the globe.

C. Aaron Fraser, MBA 94, is now working out of San Francisco with Andersen Consulting’s E Venture Launch Group, helping to develop start-ups. In December, he married Eve Chaurand.

Matt Keener, MBA 94, was recently promoted to Vice President, Director of Brokerage Services, Retail Division for Trammell Crow Company in Houston. He also recently celebrated the birth of his second son, Maxx.

Bill Leake, MBA 94, was recently promoted to President of Journyx, the largest ASP in Texas.

Jay Olson, MBA 94, was promoted to Unit Head in the Financing Policy Unit at the New York City office of Management and Budget and was named Assistant Treasurer at the New York City Transitional Finance Authority and TSASC, Inc. He also began teaching finance at New York University in September.
