Byron Smith and Carla (Snyder) Smith, MBAs 96, announce the birth of quadruplets. Meredith, Bethany, Henry, and Sydney were born in September 2002 and all were healthy, weighing in between 4 and 5 pounds.
Paula and Paul Day, MBAs 96, welcomed their daughter Gabrielle
in August of 2002. Their three year old daughter Catherine is
delighted to be a big sister. Paul is an IBM channel manager and Paula
works for McKinsey and Company’s semiconductor practice. The Days

team of Dollar General at the Indianola Distribution Center in
Mississippi.
Dustin Dumas, MBA 96, was selected to participate in a reality show on the WB called “No Boundaries” which began airing in March. Dustin started an investor relations consulting business, but in her spare time is apparently quite an adventurer. The show takes 15 contenders to the Arctic Circle for a 30-day trip during which their physical prowess and leadership skills are tested. Marc Hite, BBA 90, MBA 96, and his wife welcomed their first child, Zachary Fields Hite, in March 2001. Marc is the director of business planning and analysis with NextJet, an early stage company that uses technology to optimize supply chain logistics.
Doug Schutz, MBA 96, of SAIC (Science Applications International Corporation) has been appointed Computer Center customer relationship manager for Entergy’s largest business unit: Distribution and Customer Care. SAIC provides IT outsourcing services for Entergy, which is based in New Orleans.

Garza, MBA 96, launched a Web site for the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association that enables individuals, law firms, and businesses seeking Hispanic attorneys in the Dallas area to find them with the click of a mouse. Pack, MPA 96, accepted the positions of Accounting Manager for the Internet company iEngineer.com and Director of a Romanian subsidiary Emdex Consult S.R.L., an Internet portal that allows engineering firms to collaborate world wide on a private network. The job has moved Bradford and family to Salt Lake City, UT.

Allyson Tauch, MBA 96, recently left Dain Rauscher Investment Banking to start her own real estate development company. Construction has begun on her first townhouse development in the Galleria area of Houston, Texas.

The new parents wish for more sleep and less crying, but otherwise are adjusting well. Naomi still works for Sabre as a principal in Portfolio Strategy.

Naomi Chen, MBA 99 and Kevin Lyons, MBA 99, were married in October, 2000 in Fort Worth. The bride and groom honeymooned on the glorious islands of Kauai and Maui. Naomi is a product manager at Sabre and serves on the FWD Ballet Committee. Kevin is an Internet consultant.
