McCombs Alumnus Receives Prestigious Microsoft Award
At the Microsoft Global Briefing (MGB), held in Atlanta Thursday, July 21,
Microsoft Corporation awarded the company’s prestigious Circle of Excellence
Award to Javier Arrupea, MBA ’03. Arrupea is a marketing manager, focusing on
the worldwide marketing strategy for Microsoft Learning’s certification program.
In addition to devising marketing strategy, his specialties include customer
loyalty programs as well as direct and Internet marketing and channel programs.
The Circle of Excellence Award is the most prestigious award Microsoft bestows
on sales, marketing, technical and services employees worldwide. The award
recognizes passion, determination, leadership and contributions toward
Microsoft’s success.
Prior to working at Microsoft, Arrupea developed extensive experience in the
information technology market by running his own company, Pro Center, which
specialized in IT training, and managing a business unit at a Microsoft
Certified Partner.
MGB is an annual meeting for Microsoft's global sales teams designed to train
and prepare the field teams for the upcoming year, and is attended by a broad
genre of employees ranging from the marketing and sales professionals to
Microsoft’s technical support teams from subsidiaries worldwide.
