Limberg Appointed Director
of MPA and PPA Programs
AUSTIN, Texas—Stephen Limberg, the PricewaterhouseCoopers
Centennial Professor in Accounting, has been appointed director of
the MPA and PPA programs at the McCombs School of Business. Rick
Joseph, the director of the MPA and PPA programs for the past six
years, has stepped down to resume his full-time role on the school’s
faculty. The official transition will occur during summer 2006.
Joseph was the first to helm the MPA and PPA programs
simultaneously.
“Our graduate program has been recognized as the number one program
in the country by the Professional Accounting Report for the
12th consecutive year,” said Ross Jennings, chair of the
Department of Accounting. “Rick has been an important contributor to
that success.”
Limberg served as chair of the Department of Accounting from 1997 to
2003. He received his MBA from San Diego State University and his
Ph.D. from Arizona State University. His research and teaching
interests focus on tax incentives.
