McCombs School Hires Assistant Director of Employer Services
The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of
Business welcomes Nancy Pettit this week as the new assistant
director of employer services. Pettit, a McCombs MBA ’88, brings
relevant university experience to her new position, having
recently served as marketing manager of the university’s
Distance Education Center.
At McCombs, Pettit will work with corporate recruiters to facilitate their campus recruiting efforts. Alison Davis-Blake, the school’s senior associate dean for academic affairs, said that she expects Pettit’s combination of experience in marketing, education and planning to serve the school well.
“Nancy has extensive experience with logistics, which will be very valuable in scheduling the Interview Center in an optimal way,” said Davis-Blake. “She understands how to deliver great customer service, especially to recruiters. Having hired people for several companies, she understands their needs and perspectives.”
Building strategic relationships with important firms and industries is one of the key initiatives of the school’s new strategic plan.
