Why attend: Glenda Chamberlain has served as executive vice
president and chief financial officer of Whole Foods Market since
1988. Founded in 1980 in Austin, Texas, Whole Foods Market is a
Fortune 500 company and the nation’s largest natural and organic
foods retailer. The company had sales of $5.6 billion in fiscal year
2006 and currently has nearly 200 stores in the United States,
Canada and the United Kingdom. Whole Foods Market has been
recognized for the past 10 years as one of Fortune magazine’s “100
Best Companies to Work For” in America. Prior to working for Whole
Foods Market, Chamberlain held positions in public accounting,
retail and business consulting. She holds a BBA in accounting from
The University of Texas at Austin.
