Why attend: After earning a law degree from the University of
Texas at Austin and becoming a partner in a major Houston law firm,
Mr. Moore branched into real estate development and homebuilding and
acquired a savings and loan. He gained a reputation for having a
“Midas touch” for his ability to put together lucrative business
deals. In the 1980s, his real estate development and homebuilding
company was valued at $250 million and he was a co-owner of a
savings association with more than $400 million in assets. A
sought-after speaker on ethics, Mr. Moore has addressed more than
300 groups of business leaders, conventions and students across the
United States and Canada since 2002.
