Who: Andrew Bailey, Deputy Chief Accountant, Securities and Exchange Commission

Why attend: Dr. Bailey manages the day-to-day operations of the SEC Chief Accountant’s Office. He oversees SEC rule-making, standard-setting, and registrant accounting. Before joining the federal government, Dr. Bailey served as director of the Center for International Education and Research in Accounting, and editor of The International Journal of Accountancy. From 1994 to 1997, he chaired the Department of Accountancy at the University of Illinois.
