Story of a Start-Up
Starting your own business, being your own boss, making a gazillion dollars over night -- it's what business students dream of. And though the reality of starting your own business isn't nearly that glamorous, every year scores of McCombs graduates join the ranks of those taking the risks
- some failing, many succeeding.
Isochron Data Corporation is one of the success stories. Launched by two McCombs MBAs in 1998, Isochron markets wireless technologies and Internet services that connect companies with valuable field assets, such as vending machines that need inventory or ice machines that require periodic maintenance. The company recently completed a $12.5 million round of funding and now looks headed for much larger success.
How has Isochron moved from an idea to reality?
