The University of Texas
The University of Texas at Austin comprises more than 357 acres of land and sits in the center of Austin with easy access to all residential areas. There are approximately 48,000 students enrolled, of whom 10,000 are graduate students.
UT Austin has 1,108 endowed faculty positions, the highest number among major public research institutions in the United States. These endowed faculty positions consist of 216 chairs, 474 professorships and 418 faculty fellowships and lectureships. The University of Texas System has one of the largest private endowments, valued at $331 million.
The University of Texas at Austin faculty currently includes members of the National Academy of Science, the National Academy of Engineering, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Law Institute and winners of the Nobel and Pulitzer prizes.
