Alumni Involvement Opportunities

The goal of the BHP alumni involvement program is to give BHP alumni the opportunity to share, educate, and interact with current BHP students. We know that you have a wide variety of experiences, and there are many things you could offer the current class of students.  We want to create relationships where alumni can provide expertise and support in areas such as careers, academics, graduate school and others.

As an alumni, you can have a tremendous impact on the lives of the students you mentor. You can serve in many roles.

Speaking Engagements: We invite BHP alumni to participate in Alumni Coffee Chats to offer current students information on industry and graduate school insight, career and internship advice, and discussion on general life experiences. These chats are held in the BHP office each semester as an opportunity for students to network with alumni in an informal setting. If you plan to be Austin for recruiting events or you are simply coming back to visit the city and have extra time, we would love to arrange an Alumni Coffee Chat with you.
If you are interested in participating in an Alumni Coffee Chat, please contact Shelley Nix at Shelley.Nix@mccombs.utexas.edu. We ask for at least one week notice to set up the event and advertise to students.

Admission Interviewer:  Alumni admissions volunteers play a crucial role in shaping the future of the BHP by interviewing high school seniors seeking admission into the program.
