There are a variety of opportunities for your company to get involved with the BHP. By sponsoring one or more of the programs below, you can receive unparalleled access to gifted BHP students, faculty, classrooms, events and student organizations.Your involvement provides opportunities for generating company awareness among the top students and networking in informal settings.Upon request, more detail can be provided on each item.
Honors Business Association (HBA) Executive Speaker Series
The Honors Business Association (HBA) is the representative professional business organization for the students of BHP. The HBA hosts this series twice a month where executives speak to over 100 students. Through a general industry or case study presentation, you gain the ability to attract new interest while simultaneously explaining job responsibilities within a pertinent, tangible context. Presenting to this organization is a great way for your company to target candidates among a smaller pool of high achieving students.

Company Office Hours and Brown Bag Lunches
These programs are great ways to interact with a targeted group of students in a relaxed atmosphere. The topics can range from career advice to relevant business topics.
Participation in BHP Sophomore Lyceum and BA 10>
As required classes of the BHP curriculum, Lyceum and 101 includes a weekly forum where faculty, alumni, and corporate partners share their industry expertise. This format is an excellent way to interact with faculty, share your company’s message, and make a great impression on students in an academic environment. As a sponsor of these classes, company representatives may also participate in panel discussions and class projects.
Prospective Members Conference (PMC)
The conferences are held in the spring in Austin, Houston, and Dallas for senior high school students who have been accepted into the BHP. Students, faculty, and alumni share their experiences at the daylong event. The PMC is an early opportunity present your company and make a great impression on students. Furthermore, the PMC is also chance to brand your company and turn parents into potential clients.
Annual BHP Symposium
An annual event, the leadership program is held the fall semester bringing together students, faculty, and alumni to share and develop innovative ideas on leadership. The Symposium is great way to promote your company and to target leaders within the BHP. Company representatives have the opportunity to share their leadership experience with conference attendees. Student Mentor and Tutoring Programs
Sponsoring the student mentor and tutoring programs is a great way to brand your company with the BHP students. These programs are two of the most popular involving hundreds of students from all class levels. Company representatives are welcome to attend large team-building events and development workshops throughout the year. In addition to these larger events, dinners, social outings and orientation sessions are frequent and important aspects to the programs.
BHP New Student Kickoff and Sophomore Admits Welcome
Sponsorship of these welcoming events is an excellent way to expose BHP students to your business. Company representatives are welcome to attend the event to promote internship and career opportunities. The events occur very early in the school year giving sponsors a competitive edge in the recruiting process.
Make A Mark Scholarship Campaign
Started by the Class of the 2000, the Make A Mark Campaign (MAM) is an annual scholarship drive among the senior class of the Business Honors Program. The campaign encourages seniors graduating from the university to give back to the program in the form of pledges to this scholarship drive. Now in its fourth year, the campaign will award its first scholarship in the fall of 2003. Over the course of the school year, there are several items to sponsor:

- MAM Kick Off Reception- February
- MAM Campaign Awards-March
Diversity Recruiting Program
BHP Recruiting Events are designed to inform prospective applicants about the curriculum, extracurricular opportunities, career preparation, and the application process. Prospective applicants are also given the opportunity to meet and/or speak with BHP staff or students, allowing them to ask questions before and after they have applied to the program.Ultimately, the BHP Recruiting Program disseminates an incredible amount of information to prospective BHP students and cultivates their interest through events in cities across the country, high school visits, and programs on campus.
HBA Student Field Trips
Each year, students in the organization visit multiple businesses in order to gain an understanding of how their classroom knowledge translates into the business world. In addition to learning about your company, students gain valuable insight into how business transpires. The students are primarily upperclassmen, providing a tremendous recruiting opportunity for you. Trips are currently scheduled for Austin, Houston, Dallas, and New York.
