Business Honors Parents
The BHP Parents Program is a series of events and
opportunities for parents of current students to enjoy the
benefits of active participation in the BHP community.
The BHP has always enjoyed strong relationships with parents of
several of the current students, people who have opened their
houses for prospective students, others who have visited with
staff to recommend programming ideas and identify issues to be
addressed. It is also recognized that parents play an
important role in their student’s decisions about the university
they attend and the educational and personal goals they set.
This year marks the second year that Dr. Eli Cox, Program
Director, has sent his Career Planning Guide to all the parents
of the first year students and sophomore admits, inviting them
to share and support in the information we use to guide students
as they begin their academic careers.
Recently, the BHP is proud to have formed the first ever
Parents’ Council, defined as a way to involve parents in the
affairs of the BHP and to serve as a forum for the exchange of
advice and guidance concerning the various activities and
programs of the BHP and to serve as a liaison between BHP and
parents. The council consists of nine representatives, 1-3
for each of the four classes. For a list of current
council members and other relevant information, please visit the
Parents' Council page .
Please email us if you have any questions, comments, concerns,
or suggestions, and please take a moment to fill out the
Parents Survey form to tell us how you can best help the
program and serve the BHP students.
