Accessing Web sites from Outside the Business School
You must specify the domain name 'McCombs' when trying to connect to your site from home or any location outside the School. Be careful to only use a backslash '\' and not a forward slash '/'.

For Windows 2000:
For Windows XP: The Web server will attempt to load one of six possible files
as a homepage for your site. The following file names are all valid
"homepage" documents and the server will attempt to load them in the order
given: For example, if you create a file named "default.htm"
to use as your homepage, it will load instead of "index.asp".
These sites are pre-configured with either "index.asp" or "index.htm"
as the default homepage file. To avoid confusion, it is recommended that you delete any
pages that you are not using. It is sometimes helpful to open the live web server site directly in FrontPage if you are
having problems or if you are not certain that a particular document was
published. Use the 'File --> Open Web...' menu option for this.
Be sure to specify the full URL of your site as you would when publishing to
it. Here is an example screenshot: There are a few authentication bugs in the FrontPage product that can cause some
confusion. Currently, all of the BBA Web sites have a disk space (or quota) limit of
25 megabytes. If you are receiving an "insufficient disk
space" message, please delete some files to make room. You can also
save most .GIF or.BMP files as .JPG files to save space. FrontPage allows you to import an Access (.mdb) file into your
website. Read the instructions here. Some people want to write the HTML by hand, or use other web
editors (like Dreamweaver) to create and edit the content on their site.
