McCombs School of Business, The University of Texas at
Austin's
Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER)
actively develops and promotes the internationalization of U.S. business
education, integration of international non-business disciplines (e.g.,
language) into business education, and the development of partnerships with both
the regional international business community and international universities.
The National Academies recently released a report: International
Education and Foreign Languages: Keys to Securing America’s Future” in
which the National Research Council reviewed the effectiveness of the
Fulbright-Hays program and the Title VI programs of the Higher Education
Act, the source of funding for the 31 CIBERs. The executive summary
states: “The CIBERs have created a network for sharing information and
learning from each others’ experiences that is a model for the other
Title VI/FH programs.”
